Our Legacy

Where did Alban’s Peak get its name?

The story goes far beyond the breathtaking

views—it begins with a man whose vision soared even higher than the mountain itself.

This land was once wild, steep, and nearly unreachable. Back then, roads to Pokipok, Maligcong

were rough and barely passable. Yet, in the quiet determination of our grandfather, Lolo Alban,

we found a legacy that would one day welcome many. Lolo Alban was a visionary, eager,

hardworking, and ever-helpful man. While others questioned his resolve to build on

a peak no one could easily reach, he remained undeterred. Many teased him:

“Why fix a land so high up when no one can even get there?” With his usual wit,

he smiled and replied, “So I have somewhere to land my plane.” That playful answer held

a deeper truth. He likely saw what others couldn’t—the future. He probably visualized the roads that would one day reach these heights, and he worked tirelessly to prepare the land not just for himself, but for the generations to come. Today, this once-isolated land has become Alban’s Peak Retreat and Campsite, a sanctuary in the clouds, lovingly preserved and shared by his descendants—his “A-apo”. We proudly carry his name, his dream, and his legacy forward.

Welcome to Alban’s Peak —where vision meets nature, and where our grandfather’s dream lives on in every sunrise, trail, and view we share with you.
